Early Days and Demos (October 2014 - January 2015):
SpaceLazerz was created as a solo project in October 2014, by Kentaro. Some demos were released in January 2015, and sent to record labels and friends, these were later released on "Cleaning Out the Closet." The first of these recordings is the only one to feature Kentaro as the only member. By the recording of the second demo, Yunosuke and Matt were already members of the band.

Split from I'm Jeff & Departure of Matt (April 2015)
In April, the band left I'm Jeff after a disagreement with regards to the release of new material. The band wanted to wait, and release their first full-length album. The label, on the other hand, wanted to see the release of another EP. This caused SpaceLazerz to make a collective decision to leave the label. Shortly after this, Matt was fired from the band.
